Logitech M515 Wireless Mouse

Logitech M515 Wireless MouseIf you are always working on the go, then you know how annoying it is when you have to pack everything up. The amount of things you need to take can sometimes be staggering, so packing as little as possible is always ideal. Wireless may not be the absolute best solution for the fastest connectivity, but it is most certainly the best if you are trying to cut down on clutter.

By going wireless, you can save a lot of space in your travel case and also reduce the clutter on your mobile workstation. That is one of the main reasons I use a wireless mouse. The only problem with a wireless mouse is that the batteries do not last forever, and it is hard to use one on anything other than a hard, flat surface. But those days may very well be behind us as Logitech has created a new wireless mouse that doesn't seem to have a problem with either.

Logitech unveiled today the Logitech Wireless Mouse M515. This device is said to deliver easy navigation on soft surfaces like a sofa, bed or even a pillow. The M515 features a sealed bottom case that allows it to easily glide along fabric as well as a hand-detection sensor which only activates the mouse when you place your hand on it.

According to Marcus Harvey, General Manager UK & IRE, Logitech, "Millions of people are connecting their computers to their TV and the M515 mouse was built to address the unique needs of this experience. As technology evolves and consumers' habits change, Logitech continues to develop navigation devices that make it easier to control and access the things people love to do in the digital world."

Thanks to the hand-detection sensor, the M515 is only active when you have a full grip on it. This activates the mouse only when you want it to be active and leaves it in sleep mode when you are not using it. The sealed bottom also helps to protect your mouse from collecting fuzz in the sensor opening. This allows your cursor to remain in control at all times. The base is also ideal for mousing around on any kind of soft surface including couches and blankets.

The M515 also features Logitech's Hyper-Fast Scrolling allowing fast and smooth scrolling through long web pages. If you need more control, then you can always switch to click-to-click mode. Don't worry about replacing the batteries every couple of months either as the M515 holds up to a two year charge. The tiny Logitech USB receiver that you use is also very handy as it does not take up a lot of space and is barely noticeable. There is even a storage compartment in the mouse itself for traveling.

The Logitech M515 will hit store shelves in Europe first in April for a retail price of £49.99 ($79.99 US).
