It seems that Dell may be updating their line of notebooks at CES 2011 in Las Vegas. It was reported a few days ago that Dell was expected to show off their Dell XPS 17, the Dell Precision M4600, Precision M6600, Dell Latitude E6520 and the Latitude E6420. However, Dell may also unveil a new range of netbooks. The Dell Latitude 2120 is the newest version of the popular Dell Latitude 2110. The Latitude is specifically designed for the traveling professional as well as students.
The chassis is coated with soft rubber as well as an anti-microbial treatment for added comfort and protection, and the keyboard is pressure resistant to prevent the detachment of keys. The design seems to be pretty similar to the 2110, but the real difference is in the hardware. The Latitude 2120 will house a dual-core Intel Atom N550 processor instead of the Intel Atom N455 and the Intel NM10 Express chipset.
In addition to that, the 2120 has an optional Broadcom Crystal HD video accelerator which is good for watching live streamed tv. The 2120 also comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen. Aside from that, the 2120 seems to be almost identical to its predecessor. There has yet to be any word on a price or release date but stay tuned to CES 2011 to get all the details.
